Battery break‑in plays a critical role in overall cell performance. Every MWX ProSelect battery goes through a full break‑in cycle before it ever reaches a customer, and only the absolute top‑performing cells make the cut. This evaluation process takes 90 minutes to complete, and each pack includes a detailed performance printout.
One of the biggest advantages of our system is the ability to measure internal resistance under load, along with real‑time voltage behavior during that same load test. Traditional charger‑reported IR—what the industry has relied on for decades—is calculated while the pack is being charged, not discharged. While a low charger IR number is still beneficial, it doesn’t reflect how the battery actually performs when it’s being pushed on the track.
To capture true real‑world performance, every ProSelect battery is run for 8 minutes under a dynamic load, where the amperage continuously fluctuates to simulate real racing conditions. This gives us an accurate picture of how the pack handles stress, maintains voltage, and delivers power when it matters most.
